Museum of wax sculptures and execution law
The pair of museums in the centre of Český Krumlow will show you some bits of history in very extraordinary way. The wax sculptures of craftsmen, prisoners and executioners stand next to the well-known figures from rare or modern history. Overall six hundred squared metres of exhibition in the reconstructed rennaissance house near the central square in Český Krumlov will introduce you to the society of famous and important personalities of czech and world´s history. In the luxurious interiors you will meet the emperors Charles IV and Rudolph II, amongst them as a rose stands the empress Maria Theresa. Slightly different history is resembled by Jan Žižka. The magic atmosphere is created by alchymists and magicians in their workshop together with the White lady ghost.
The termination of the sightseeing is similar to a jump in time. In the big chamber you will see many important personalities of the 20th century. Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Albert Einstein accompany Tomáš Gariggue Masaryk, Edvard Beneš, Václav Havel, Antonín Dvořák and Emma Destinová. The invitation was accepted even by Dalajlama and John Paul II. And a bit far away a tones of pop music (and that is really the end of your sightseeing) are sung by Tina Turner or Michael Jackson.

Do you want to know, how people were imprisoned and tortured in the Medieval era? And do you want to see it authentically, with everything that comes with it? So do not forget to visit the Museum of Execution right in Český Krumlov. The area of four hundred square metres in the basement of the townhall is changed into huge and terrifying torture chamber. Except the torture tools and wax sculptures resembling the guards and tortured, you will see the burning of withces and the execution by sword. (audiovisual effects)
